2. Using this website
Hosting
This website is hosted by:
IONOS SE
Elgendorfer Straße 57
56410 Montabaur
Germany
When you open the website, technically necessary data is exchanged between your device and the web server. IONOS states that it processes visitor data that is anonymized directly when collected. According to IONOS, additional processing takes place through IONOS WebAnalytics. This data includes:
- the referrer (the previously visited website),
- the requested webpage or file,
- browser type and browser version,
- operating system,
- device type,
- time of access, and
- the IP address in anonymized form, used only to determine the location of access.
IONOS states that it retains this visitor data for eight weeks. According to IONOS, the data is not shared with third parties and is not transferred to countries outside the European Union.
The legal basis for hosting and security logging is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interests are providing the website securely, reliably, and without errors, and detecting and preventing misuse.
For more information, see the official IONOS page on data processing for web hosting products.
No cookies or tracking
Bilanos does not embed any analytics or tracking tools of its own. The website code itself does not set cookies. It does not load external fonts, scripts, or content delivery networks. This does not affect the IONOS web hosting processing described above.
No forms
The website does not contain contact forms. If you contact us by email, we process the information you voluntarily provide to respond to your request.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR when your request concerns a contract or steps taken before entering into a contract. For general support and other inquiries, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interests are responding to inquiries, providing support, and handling bug reports.
We delete the data when the request has been fully handled and no legal retention obligations or other legitimate reasons require us to keep it.
3. Privacy in the Dropario app
No user account
Dropario does not require a user account. There is no email sign-in and no cloud synchronization operated by Bilanos.
Local storage
Places, coordinates, addresses, photos, notes, lists, categories, and settings are generally stored locally on your device. Dropario does not automatically upload this content to a cloud operated by Bilanos. Dropario does not use advertising or user tracking.
Deleting locally stored app data
You can remove the app data stored in Dropario by using the provided option to delete all data in the app's settings. Uninstalling the app normally removes data stored locally in the app container from the device.
Copies that you previously exported, shared, or backed up outside Dropario are not deleted automatically. You must delete those copies separately from their storage location or the receiving app. Bilanos cannot remotely view or delete data that is stored only on your device.
Location
Dropario uses location information only when you start a related feature, such as saving your current place, determining direction or distance, or navigating to a place. GPS can work without an internet connection.
To convert coordinates into a readable address or an address into coordinates, Dropario may use the geocoding service provided by the operating system. Location data or an address you entered may be sent to that service. Without an internet connection, you can still save coordinates, but the place may not include address text.
Camera and photo library
The camera and photo library are used only when you choose to add a new or existing photo to a place. You start that action yourself.
Notifications
Timer alerts are delivered as local system notifications. Dropario may ask for permission to display those notifications.
Navigation and external apps
When you open an external maps or navigation app, Dropario passes the information needed for your selected destination to that app. This happens only after you make a selection. The app and its provider may process data under their own privacy terms.
Sharing, import, and export
When you share or export data, you expressly choose the action and the app or storage location that will receive the data. When sharing a single place, the address and coordinates are included; other content, such as a name, note, or photos, may be added based on your selection.
You may store or share exports and backups on your device, in a storage service you choose, or through a third-party app you select. Copies outside Dropario are then governed by the terms of that storage location or provider.
When importing, Dropario checks the selected package and shows the planned changes. Nothing is added until you confirm the import.
TestFlight
The closed iOS beta may be distributed through Apple TestFlight. If you receive a personal invitation by email, Bilanos or authorized members of the App Store Connect team may see your name and the email address used for the invitation. If you join through a public TestFlight link, your name and email address generally are not displayed unless you provide them yourself with feedback.
In particular, the following information may be visible or processed through TestFlight:
- invitation and installation status,
- the app version or build made available to you,
- device model, operating system, and platform,
- number of sessions,
- crashes and crash reports, and
- feedback, text, and screenshots you choose to submit.
Apple states that TestFlight users automatically share crash reports with the developer. Voluntary feedback may include additional text and screenshots.
Bilanos uses this information to conduct and manage the beta test, analyze errors, improve stability and usability, and respond to feedback. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interests are conducting a reliable beta test and improving Dropario.
TestFlight is provided by Apple. Apple's own processing is also governed by Apple's privacy information and terms. Data is used only for as long as necessary to conduct the beta test, analyze errors, and respond to feedback, or for as long as Apple makes it available under its terms.
For more information, see Apple's TestFlight tester information and privacy information.
4. Your rights
Subject to applicable legal requirements, you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing, object to processing, and request a copy of data you provided. You may also file a complaint with a competent data protection authority.
